Pastoral Team: Anjie and Andi Woodworth

Anjie Woodworth (she/her) and Andi Woodworth (she/they) are the Co-Pastors of Neighborhood Church. They both live in Candler Park and are incredibly grateful to get to collaborate on a wonderful life of co-pastoring a phenomenal church and co-parenting three amazing kids who are growing up way too fast.

rev. anjie woodworth (she/her)

Originally from Decatur, Anjie graduated from Decatur High School, Georgia State University, and Candler School of Theology. Anjie is an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church and has served as part of churches in various roles in northern Virginia, Decatur, Atlanta, Villa Rica, and Rome, GA. Anjie loves to craft and create, loves a spontaneous kitchen dance party, and she loves to hear and share stories of how God shows up in the middle of real, messy life.

 

rev. andi woodworth (she/they)

Andi is originally from Atlanta proper and graduated from Grady High School (now Midtown High) and Oxford College, Emory College, and Candler School of Theology (all of Emory University). Andi is an ordained elder in The United Methodist Church and has served churches in various roles in Atlanta, Aragon, and Rome. Andi loves all kinds of music and gardening, a good savory scone, and helping people and communities grow through creativity, courage, and cooperating with God.

 

STAFF TEAM + INTERNS:

kylan C. pew (he/him) - Director of Restorative Practices

Minister Kylan C. Pew grew up as a bible toting, suit wearing child loving the church atmosphere. He was ordained a Minister at Christian Faith Centre, Wichita, KS on June 12, 2011. Kylan attended Gammon Theological Seminary at Interdenominational Theological Center and holds a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Community Development and Sankofa Pratices. He also serves as the he Social Media Director for the National Network of Young Adults with Strengthening the Black Church for the 21st Century (SBC21).

Kylan is the founder of two small businesses: The Believers’ Outlet and Black Seminarian’s Table. He is also a published author - you can find his first book here. Kylan lives by the mantra: God Works, I’m LIVING PROOF!

 

SARAH HOWELL (she/her) - ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR

Sarah, originally from Orlando, fell in love with Atlanta when she first moved here in 2016 to attend Candler School of Theology at Emory University. After graduating from Candler, Sarah spent a year in the suburbs of Chicago working in conflict transformation and mediation for church congregations. Since returning to Atlanta in 2020, she has served as a teacher at SAND preschool in Decatur. Sarah is excited to be a part of the important work and friendly community at Neighborhood Church! Sarah is a devoted cat-mom, coffee enthusiast, book lover and occasional watercolor painter. Sarah also enjoys a good Dungeons & Dragons session with friends, listening to her record collection, and exploring Atlanta to find the best guacamole in town. 

 

Kathryn Brannon (she/her) - Bookkeeper

Kathryn is an Atlanta native and longtime Kirkwood resident who believes in supporting her community and using her skills to make changes for the better, both big and small. In 2008, Kathryn co-founded the Five and Dime Kids consignment sale, which she now owns and runs solo. Along with organizing this seasonal sale, she has spent 10 years serving as Treasurer for small nonprofit schools, and currently fills this roll at The Heartwood School. She lives in nearby Kirkwood with her husband and son and enjoys gardening, hiking, and her morning smoothie. Fun fact, she can sing virtually all of the lyrics to random classic rock songs without realizing she even knows the lyrics!

 

REGINALD THOMAS (HE/HIM) - FACILITIES MANAGER

Reggie serves as the Facilities Manager here at Neighborhood Church. Reggie enjoys traveling, football, and video games. His life work is for the edification of our Lord and Savior. A quote he loves is: “Where the is no struggle, there is no progress”. Be sure to say hi to Reggie when you see him around the building!

 

KELLY SCOTT (SHE/HER) - MINISTRY INTERN

Kelly moved to Atlanta in 2022 to attend Candler School of Theology. She graduated from Georgia Southern University with an Interior Design degree and had a design career in Naples, Florida for 18 years before deciding to make a life change and return to school. With her pastor's encouragement, she developed a deep commitment to LGBTQIA+ justice during her time at Cornerstone UMC in Naples and is now actively pursuing a career in ministry. Discovering Neighborhood Church has brought immense joy to her life, and she is thrilled to embark on an internship journey within her newfound faith community. She adores cats and horses, but dogs are her true love. Live musicals are her happy place. A foodie at heart, she seeks culinary adventures while savoring a cold brew coffee and engaging in deep conversations. 

 

Michelle hettmann (she/her) - communications consultant

Michelle loves hiking, coffee, spending time with family, and traveling to new places. She got involved with Neighborhood Church because her former pastor from her home church went to seminary with Anjie and Andi and let her know they were starting a new church; she tried it out and loved it and has stuck around ever since– what a fun connection! She loves telling the story of churches and community groups and is so glad to get to work with Neighborhood Church in this capacity during this season.
